Missouri Hub (MoHub) is an unincorporated affiliation of institutions which seeks to improve for the benefit of the public the visibility and relevance of digital collections offered online in Missouri. MoHub aggregates information about digital objects and serves as conduit for passing these descriptive records to DPLA (Digital Public Library of America)—which assembles datasets of metadata that make content discoverable through a single search interface and open platform for developers.

How to Participate

Any institution in Missouri may contribute content to Missouri Hub and therefore to DPLA, as long as it has a digital collection that meets the following basic requirements:

1. An OAI-PMH data feed with Dublin Core or MODS metadata

2. Links back to a publically accessible record from the contributing institution

3. Image thumbnails – where available. Must be a url to an image no larger than 150 px on a side

4. A rights statement for every record

5. All metadata supplied as CC0 (public domain)

6. A value in the title field

7. Contributing Institution must be identified in each record

See "Missouri Hub Contributor Requirements" for details.

All contributing institutions must sign the Missouri Hub Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

If you have questions about these requirements or about the MOU,

please contact David Henry(dhenry@mohistory.org)
